Common questions
The short version: TrendWake is research and education software. It helps you study markets and your process, but it does not tell you what to buy or sell.
Is TrendWake financial advice?
No. TrendWake is educational software for market research, simulated trading, backtesting, alerts, and journaling. You make your own trading and investing decisions.
Does TrendWake place trades?
No. TrendWake does not execute trades, route orders, custody funds, or move money. If broker import features are added, they should be optional and read-only where supported.
Is paper trading real money?
No. Paper trading and game results are simulated. They can help you practice process and review strategy behavior, but they do not guarantee real-world results.
Where does market data come from?
TrendWake may use third-party market-data and news providers such as Twelve Data, Marketaux, SEC EDGAR, GDELT, or other licensed sources. Data can be delayed or unavailable.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Email support from the address on your account with a deletion request. Some limited records may be retained where required for billing, security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Can TrendWake see or sell my journal entries?
Journal entries are private by default. TrendWake does not sell individual journal data or share it with other users. Limited access may exist only to operate, secure, debug, support, and improve the service.
Can TrendWake use journal data to improve the product?
TrendWake may use aggregated or de-identified product analytics to improve features and understand broad trading-process patterns, but should not publish or monetize identifiable user journal entries.
What happens if I cancel?
You can manage billing through your account. Canceling a paid plan stops future renewals and may remove access to paid features at the end of the billing period.
Do you support broker connections?
TrendWake is designed first as analytics, journaling, and paper-trading software. Any future brokerage connection should be optional, consent-based, and read-only unless a separate approved trading workflow is explicitly added.
Why can signals or data change?
Markets update, vendors revise data, and strategy calculations depend on available bars and timing. Treat every result as research context, not an instruction to trade.
Are TrendWake social posts or community discussions financial advice?
No. Official social channels, future Discord discussion, educational posts, and community comments are for general information and education only. They are not personalized investment advice.
